ABOUT AIAC-NB
Founded on December 15, 2020, the Association Initiatives Afro- Canadiennes du Nouveau Brunswick (AIAC-NB) works to
promote the social, cultural, economic, and civic development of the Afro-Canadian community in New Brunswick.

Our vision is of a province where every Afro-Canadian can realize their full potential and thrive by harnessing all their abilities, talents, and knowledge to contribute actively and positively to society.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES OF THE SPONSORSHIP PLAN
As part of our annual activities, we develop various initiatives, including 11 major projects that take place every year and require sustainable financial and institutional partnerships.

OUR SCOPE IN NUMBERS (2022–2025)
1. A space for dialogue, reflection, and action to promote inclusion, representation, and collaboration.
2. A provincial exhibition that highlights the history and contributions of people of African descent throughout the province.
3. Art and educational workshops that raise children's awareness of cultural diversity and living together in harmony.
4. An intercultural literary event that celebrates the diversity of voices and fosters dialogue between cultures.
5. Inform community members and newcomers by providing them with resources on various opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship, and community involvement in the province.
6. This event aims to recognize the vital role played by our volunteers, who, since 2020, have made it possible to hold more than 60 educational, cultural, and community activities across the province.
7. Since 2024, this project has made it possible to offer services tailored to each young person in three areas: developing the skills needed to meet the demands of the job market, providing guidance in finding internships, and offering support in securing employment.
8. This project aims to strengthen ties between Acadian and Afro-descendant communities in New Brunswick through workshops, training in governance and leadership, and initiatives that promote inclusion and collaboration within Francophone organizations.
9. The project aims to train young Francophone cultural ambassadors of African descent through artistic workshops, podcasts, and community activities in order to celebrate their heritage, strengthen their leadership skills, and promote intercultural understanding in New Brunswick.
10. This festival is a free cultural event that will take place on August 15 to celebrate Fête de l’Acadie by highlighting Acadian and Afro-descendant cultures. Through musical performances, youth activities, and educational spaces, the project promotes intercultural dialogue, inclusion, and social cohesion in a festive and accessible setting.
11. The Black Entrepreneurship in New Brunswick Project (PEN-NB) is an initiative aimed at strengthening the success, sustainability, and growth of entrepreneurs of African descent in the province.
